A Cold Spring Harbor native, and cousin of celebrity Lindsay Lohan, was the victim of an “unprovoked assault” early Friday morning inside a Boston pizza restaurant.
Boston police said 24-year-old Kevin Lohan was attacked at around 2:30 a.m. inside of a Domino’s restaurant.
Police at the scene spoke with Lohan’s girlfriend, who said the couple was waiting in line when a group of about six to eight white individuals began pushing in line. She added that, out of nowhere, a member of the group punched Lohan in the face and knocked him to the ground.
Lohan, who suffered a non-life threatening injury to his jaw, was brought to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for treatment.
The assailants ran off in an unknown direction, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
Lohan is also a hockey player for Boston College, and was ruled out indefinitely following the incident. School officials called the attack “unprovoked” in a statement released Sunday.
A defender for the Eagles, Lohan has recorded three assists in 14 games this season.
He previously spent four years at the University of Michigan, where was an assistant captain of its hockey team his senior year.
