Fall Restaurant Week 2016 set for Oct. 9-16
More than 25 restaurants around Huntington will offer discounted, three-course prix-fixe meals for $27.95 as part of Dine Huntington Restaurant Week, just three days away.
For eight days, from Sunday, Oct. 9, to Sunday, Oct. 16 (Saturday until 7 p.m. only), diners will have the opportunity to sample succulent selections at some of the most prestigious establishments on Long Island. Whether you’re interested in trying Italian, Asian, American, or just about anything in between, Dine Huntington Restaurant Week participants offer plenty of options for anyone to indulge in.
The Eggplant Rollatini at Almarco involves ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, sautéed spinach and friend eggplant.
Dine Huntington Restaurant Week, sponsored by Long Islander News and the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, showcases restaurants from throughout the dining capital of Long Island – Huntington.
Now in its eighth year, Dine Huntington Restaurant Week promotes and celebrates a vital sector of Huntington’s economy – restaurants – attracting diners from all over Long Island.
“There’s a reason Huntington is called the dining capital,” Peter Sloggatt. Long Islander News publisher, said. “Some of the finest restaurants on Long Island call Huntington home, and Dine Huntington Restaurant Week is a perfect opportunity for people get to know them, and hopefully to add a few new restaurants to their lists of favorites.”
The aim of Dine Huntington Restaurant Week is to give food lovers an opportunity to experience new restaurants and to give restaurant owners a chance to show off a little. Participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe meals for $27.95 per person, plus tax and tip. It’s not just the restaurants that benefit, however. It provides an opportunity for the whole town to shine.
The Cajun Filet Mignon at Nisen Sushi serves a classic filet mignon with a medley of mushrooms, with a helping of buttery Japanese seven-spice sauce.
Patrons can line up their Dine Huntington Restaurant Week excursions by logging on to DineHuntington.com, where participating restaurants are shown and their Restaurant Week menus are posted, or will be posted in the coming days.
