Tina Fey and Amy Poehler star in “Sisters,” shown in the trailer. The movie has filmed in Dix Hills and may soon film in Huntington village.

The production company behind an upcoming film starring “Saturday Night Live” alumni Tina Fey and Amy Poehler is eyeing Huntington village for more scenes, a town official confirmed.

Huntington Town Hall received a call on Wednesday from the production crew for the NBC Universal film “Sisters,” known in an earlier incarnation as “The Nest,” Director of Parks & Recreation Department Don McKay said.

According to McKay, Universal is looking to film on Main Street in Huntington village. While it is unclear if and when the scene would be filmed, McKay said that filming would take place “soon” if it happens.

“We’re just trying to figure out the logistics,” he added.

According to a Jan. 8 Facebook post by Haven Hair Spa, the crew may be in search of a Huntington hair salon to be used in the film.

“They came in to check us out as one of the locations,” Haven posted, in part. “Even if we don’t get chosen, it’s still nice to be considered.”

Town of Huntington residents may recognize the houses of Fey and Poehler’s characters, as well as the fictional house of male lead Ike Barinholtz, as the production filmed in Dix Hills during Summer 2014.

In July, the cast and crew filmed at one house on Etna Lane and another on Astro Place, each in Dix Hills.

“We were looking for neighborhoods with charming mid-century modern type homes,” said Producer John Lyons in a statement to Long Islander News in July. “We looked at many neighborhoods for 2 months and saw several good areas, but this neighborhood had the best combination of nice architecture and a curved block… So many things pointed us here to Dix Hills.”
