Police Release Photo Of Alleged Bank Robber
/Suffolk police released the photo of a man they say attempted to rob a Huntington bank and robbed two others over a week-and-a-half long period.
Police said the man entered the People’s United Bank at 182 E. Main St. in Huntington, at 11:51 a.m. on Tuesday and made multiple verbal demands for money. The teller did not comply and the man fled.
Twenty five minutes later, police say the same man entered the TD Bank at 2178 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park, made a verbal demand for money from a teller. This time, the teller complied with the man’s demands and the man fled southbound on foot on Deer Park Avenue.
The same man, police said, entered the TD Bank at 2025 Broadhollow Road in Farmingdale on July 7 and demanded cash from the teller. The teller complied and the man fled on foot.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a gray goatee. In the Huntington and Deer Park incidents, he was photographed wearing a white New York Yankees T-shirt and a red Boston Red Sox hat.
