PD: Body Found On Huntington High School Grounds

Huntington High School is located at 188 Oakwood Road.

Suffolk police are investigating the death of an adult man whose body was found on the Huntington High School grounds today.

Police said the "death appears non-criminal" in an emailed statement. Police did not identify the man.

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.

Huntington Superintendent James Polansky said in a robocall earlier today that "no student or staff member was involved in the investigation, and at no time was there any concern regarding student or staff safety."

He added that the 188 Oakwood Road school was under lockdown, but that it was lifted prior to student dismissal.
