Besito Mexican restaurant in Huntington village has been temporarily closed due to damage caused by a small electrical fire on Tuesday.

Huntington Fire Department responded to the 402 New York Ave. restaurant on reports of smoke at around 5 p.m. When firefighters arrived, they found a small electrical fire in the ceiling above the front entrance, according to fire officials.

There was “very minimal damage,” said Huntington Fire Department spokesman Steve Silverman, who added that power to the restaurant was shut down.

Four trucks responded under direction of Third Assistant Chief Scott Dodge.

The restaurant was closed Tuesday night and, according to a Facebook post, is also closed today for maintenance and repairs.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” the post states.
