A menu board in the Starbucks at 1 Wall St. in Huntington village announces that the coffee shop will start serving booze as of April 12.

Starting April 12, both the Huntington village and East Northport Starbucks locations are expected to begin serving wine and craft beer.

The two locations -- which are located at 1 Wall St. and 3011 Jericho Turnpike respectively -- submitted applications for licenses to the New York Liquor Authority in October 2015, which were accepted on Feb. 26, according to state records.

After leaving the Huntington village Starbucks on Monday, Fatima Moreno, of Huntington, said, “Considering the location, I can see why that would be a good idea. I’m not opposed to it, I’m just interested to see how it’s going to work there.”

Barry Smith, of upstate Hartsdale, said the additions are “different and unique,” and his wife, Alyssa, wondered if the new additions will change the atmosphere of the coffee shop.

Added Gloria Quay, of Syosset, “Personally, they should stick with what they do best.” Her husband, David, agreed. He said he’d rather have coffee, “no wine or beer.”

The Huntington village and East Northport locations are two among six Starbucks on Long Island to get state approval to serve alcohol.
