St. Vincent De Paul Society and Greenlawn Civic Association sponsored this year’s Father’s Day Charity Wiffle Ball Tournament, which raised more than $9,300 toward local outreach efforts and college scholarships.

Harborfield’s High School students Robbie Panettieri, Kathryn Simpson and James White were the winners of this year’s scholarships, which were awarded based on academic achievement and community service.

Nine teams participated in Saturday’s tournament held at Harborfields High School.

McKenna and Jon Rowland, along with Frank Sr. and Frank Neri Jr., were the winners of the tournament. Their names will be displayed on a trophy plaque in Broadway Pizza of Greenlawn.

Matthew Gottlieb hit the most home runs (eight). Eric Werbitsky and Michael Hendricksen tied for second place with seven.

Shane Drew hit the longest homer (93 feet).

“Thank you to all the participants and local businesses and individuals who made donations for this successful event,” said event organizer Philip De Dora.
