A Northport kitchen that served as the base for PBS show “The Cooking Odyssey” is on the market as part of a Norwood Avenue home listed for $580,000.

Listing agent Jean Marie Blissett, of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, said the kitchen was built for the show in 2011. The show focused on Greek cuisine and ran for three seasons, from 2013-2015. Half of the show featured preparation of Greek food, while the other half featured travels to Greece.

The kitchen was selected for the show because the homeowner was the show’s producer, Blissett said. She added that the kitchen was built to fit the camera crew, camera and light equipment. French doors were also added to the kitchen to allow more light to enter the room while filming.

The kitchen features a Wolf double oven and range, an Energy Star Sub-Zero refrigerator and separate induction cooktop.

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom Cape went on the market for $580,000 in July.

Blissett said the home, located at 107 Norwood Ave., is perfect for hosting guests.

“The house is truly a home built for entertaining because it has this amazing kitchen, which the island can seat seven people, and an open floor plan with a dining room and a sophisticated living room,” Blissett said. “It’s a beautiful house for entertaining.”
