Queens-native punk rock band Bayside is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its hit album, “The Walking Wounded,” with a tour that’s set to stop in Huntington at The Paramount on Sept. 9.

The band, which got its name from the Bayside neighborhood of Queens, is set to kick off the tour Sept. 6 in Baltimore and then continue to nine other intimate venues across the country. There are also four shows slated for the U.K.

The goal is to create a special environment for fans, according to Bayside frontman Anthony Raneri.

“We want it to be celebratory,” said Raneri, lead vocalist, who makes up the band along with Jack O’Shea on lead guitar, Nick Ghanbaarian on bass and Chris Guglielmo on drums.

The tour, which takes Bayside to some of Raneri’s favorite cities, will be a celebration of the old times.

“We are going to play the whole ‘Walking Wounded’ album in full; we love that album,” Raneri said. The album, released Feb. 6, 2007, was the first to feature the band’s current lineup.

Bayside has progressed in the 10 years since then, Raneri said, including through its seventh studio album, “Vacancy,” which released last summer.

With that progress, Raneri said, the band tries to avoid feelings of nostalgia toward its older tunes.

“We want to stay relevant, and we want to keep the music relevant,” Raneri said. “The fans trust us. It’s really important that the fans who loved ‘The Walking Wounded’ can connect to the newer stuff.”

Raneri, a Queens native, said the band is excited that the tour will take them back to Long Island, where they played their first show. The trip to The Paramount will be the band’s first Long Island show in almost four years.

“I love it, Huntington is great.” Raneri said, adding that Bayside also played The Paramount in December 2013. “We love being in Huntington, and The Paramount is beautiful.”

The Walking Wounded Tour will also provide an opportunity for the band to reconnect with Bayside fans who have been supporting them since their first show in Bellmore.

“We just want to thank everybody for sticking around for all these years.”

Tickets are $20-$40 and can be purchased from the 370 New York Ave. box office, or from Paramountny.com. Doors are set to open at 7 p.m. on Sept. 9, and the show is slated to begin at 8 p.m.
