An “Egg”cellent Day For An Eggstravaganza

A springtime tradition in Huntington, the annual Eggstravaganza egg hunt drew scores of basket-toting youngsters to Heckscher Park on Tuesday. The event is sponsored annually by Councilman Mark Cuthbertson and the Town of Huntington and offers children an opportunity to scoop up treat-filled eggs, participate in arts and crafts projects, and head home with a fun, freshly painted face.

Two brothers rummage through their Easter eggs to see what candy and toys lie within at ‘Eggstravaganza,’ at Heckscher Park Tuesday. Scores of children participated in the egg hunt, and annual event hosted by the Town of Huntington.

Three areas were available for children to collect eggs from at ‘Eggstravaganza,’ each for a designated age group. Children 5-8 years old sit on the tennis courts in Heckscher Park for a photo.
