Oheka Castle was the setting for The Townwide Fund of Huntington’s Red Tie Gala on Feb. 11. The annual gala recognizes local residents and business people who help raise money to fund the many grants that the Townwide Fund gives to local charities.

“Through the combined efforts and support of our honorees, sponsors, and all who contributed, we raised more than $100,000 at our gala – certainly a great success and one that will help us continue our work in Huntington,” said David Altman, gala co-chair and partner at Harris Beach.

Townwide Fund President Jim Powers, of Bohler Engineering, added, “It was a memorable night with a lot of fun, non-stop networking and proof that Townwide Fund believes in having a great time while doing good.”

The 2016 gala celebrated people with big hearts who have made significant contributions to the Townwide Fund, and to the quality of life in Huntington for the most vulnerable members of our community.

They included: Elena D'Agostino, Lucky To Live Here Realty; David Gustin, financial advisor at Wells Fargo Advisors and Melville Chamber of Commerce president; Dr. William Healy III, Northwell Health Physician Partners, Orthopedic Surgery, Huntington Hospital; Jim Leyritz, former New York Yankee; and Ed Perez, Diversity Resource Network president.
