Tomo Hibachi Sold While Under Renovation
/A Huntington village restaurant closed for renovations since March has been sold.
Tomo Hibachi, located at 286 Main St., originally closed for renovations on March 1, said owner Michael Cheng.
Cheng planned to reopen the restaurant under a new name, but said Wednesday that he was unable to solidify the financial aspect of the planned new venture.
“Yes, we were working on a new project, but we have now sold it to a new buyer,” Cheng said. “I feel it is time for us to move on.”
Tomo had been in business for nearly 15 years.
Cheng also owns Samurai restaurant on nearby Wall Street. He said Samurai is doing very well and will remain open.
