/Six Hurt In 3-Vehicle Crash Involving School Bus
Six people, including three school bus passengers, suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash in Huntington Station Monday morning, according to Huntington Community First Aid Squad officials.
HCFAS received a call reporting the multi-vehicle accident at around 7:45 a.m., according to a news release.
Upon arrival to the scene at New York Avenue and Northridge Street, HCFAS officials found the three vehicles, including a school bus with teenagers on board.
The bus was bringing the teens from Huntington High School to a tech school in Dix Hills.
Two more ambulances were called to the scene. The three drivers, and three bus passengers, were brought to Huntington Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Huntington Manor Fire Department also responded.
Police Searching For Centerport Teen Missing Since Dec. 29
Suffolk police are trying to locate a teen from Centerport who has been missing since last month.
Suffolk police said 19-year-old Zina Mullady was last seen at her Wainer Court home on Dec. 29, 2017, and was still missing as of deadline Wednesday.
She’s described as white, 5-foot-1 and around 100 pounds with brown eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and a black and pink coat, police said.
Detectives said they do not believe foul play is involved in the disappearance.
Anyone with information about Mullady’s location is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or call 911.
Driver, Young Child Suffer Minor Injuries After Car Overturns
A driver and young child suffered minor injuries Tuesday morning in Melville after the car they were traveling overturned in a crash, fire officials said.
The Melville Fire Department responded to the scene on Bagatelle Road near Tamara Court at around 7:40 a.m., when the car struck a utility pole and overturned.
The driver and his young child escaped with minor injuries, according to fire officials.
They received assistance from the by Melville Fire Department Rescue Squad emergency medical personnel, and were brought to Huntington Hospital.
Two ambulances, first responder and paramedic units were dispatched and under the direction of assistant chiefs David Kaplan and Bill Schmitt.
