/SUV Crashes Into Tree, Flips In Dix Hills
A sport utility vehicle crashed into a tree and flipped in Dix Hills on Saturday, fire officials said. The Dix Hills Fire Department arrived to the Melrose Road scene at around 5 p.m.
The driver of the SUV was able to self-exit and was brought to Huntington Hospital by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to fire officials.
Firefighters also applied an absorbent to the road for a fuel spill. An ambulance, heavy rescue truck and paramedic unit were on the scene and under the direction of Chief Tom Napolitano and Second Assistant Chief Joe Williamson.
Suffolk Police Second Precinct officers and emergency service unit were also on the scene.
Man Stole Faucets From Commack Store: PD
Suffolk police are searching for a man accused of stealing faucets from a Commack store earlier this month.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are trying to locate the man, pictured above, who they said stole two Moen faucets from the Lowes located at 100 Express Drive North on Aug. 15 at around 3:40 p.m. The stolen faucets have a combined value of approximately $360, according to police.

PD: Man Stole From Huntington Station Store
Suffolk police are trying to locate a man they said stole merchandise from a Huntington Station store last month.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives said the man, pictured above, grabbed two Louis Vuitton duffel bags, two Louis Vuitton backpacks and a Louis Vuitton wallet from Saks Fifth Ave. at 180 Walt Whitman Road on July 24 at around 11:55 a.m.
The man was confronted by security and dropped the bags, but fled with the wallet in a tan sedan with New Jersey plates, C58 GSG, according to police.
