Muni-Meters Now On Wall Street In Huntington

Muni-meters have made their way to Wall Street in Huntington village.

The change was made on Saturday, town officials said, replacing the former coin-operated meters from Main Street to Gerard Street.

Huntington Town Board members approved the change in April under the notion that it would increase parking turnover on Wall Street.

The muni-meters bring with them an increased price for parking, $1 per hour – up from the previous 50 cents per hour. Patrons can use cash or credit cards to pay, and can also pay in increments of 15 minutes.
