Lloyd Harbor Home Damaged By Fire
/A Lloyd Harbor home went up in flames Wednesday night, fire officials said.
Six fire departments responded with a total of 85 firefighters at around 8:01 p.m. to control the blaze in a Seacrest Drive home, which was unoccupied at the time.
Firefighters arrived to find the attached garage, and second floor above, fully involved in fire, fire officials said. Huntington firefighters attacked the blaze, and were assisted by Centerport, Cold Spring Harbor, Greenlawn, Halesite and Huntington Manor fire departments. Ten firetrucks were utilized under the command of Huntington Chief Jesse Cukro, who was supported by assistant chiefs Rob Conroy, Brian Keane and Scott Dodge.
Firefighters controlled the blaze in under two hours, and contain the damage to the center portion of the home. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by both the Lloyd Harbor Police Department and Suffolk Police Arson Squad, fire officials said.
