LIRR to Provide 10 Additional Trains for Yom Kippur

The Long Island Railroad will provide 10 additional early-afternoon trains from Penn Station, including two to Huntington, for customers traveling home early tomorrow in observance of Yom Kippur.
The 10 extra afternoon eastbound trains will depart Penn Station between 1:40 p.m. and 3:48 p.m., providing additional service to Huntington as well as Hicksville, Great Neck, Babylon, Far Rockaway, and Ronkonkoma, according to the MTA.
Those extra trains will include three to Huntington/Hicksville on the Port Jefferson Branch, leaving Penn Station at 2:08 p.m., 2:29 p.m., and 3:24 p.m.
The MTA also provided this additional service last week for Rosh Hashanah.

Port Jefferson Branch:
- 2:08 PM train stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, then all stops to Huntington
- 2:29 PM train stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica, New Hyde Park, then all stops to Huntington
- 3:24 PM train stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, Westbury and Hicksville
Ronkonkoma Branch:
- 1:40 PM train stopping at Woodside, Jamaica, Mineola, Hicksville, then all stops to Ronkonkoma.
Babylon Branch:
- 2:22 PM express to Rockville Centre, then all stops to Babylon
- 2:32 PM express to Lynbrook, then all stops to Babylon
- 3:00 PM train stopping at Jamaica, Rockville Centre, then all stops to Babylon
- 3:31 PM express to Rockville Centre, then all stops to Babylon
Port Washington Branch (to Great Neck):
- 3:40 PM train stopping at Woodside, Flushing Main St., then all stops to Great Neck
Far Rockaway Branch:
- 3:48 PM express to Locust Manor, then all stops to Far Rockaway
