A 17-year-old reported missing Tuesday afternoon was last seen in Dix Hills, Suffolk police said.

Jason Geier, who has been diagnosed with ADHD, bipolar disorder and depression, has gone without medication for the last 24 hours and may be suicidal, police said. The Dix Hills teenager was last spotted at 43 Arista Drive at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Geier stands at 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has blond hair and blue eyes, according to police. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and bright yellow sneakers.

Gail Mitgang, his mother, said her son also went missing two years ago, leading to a report filed with police. However, she said, Geier was found a few hours later.

“He needed to get away from reality,” Mitgang said.

This time, she said, “We were hoping he was just going to blow off some steam. As the hours progressed, we felt he was really missing.”

Geier has relatives in Merrick, police said.

Mitgang said Geier is most familiar with the south shore of Long Island, and middle of Nassau County, including Bellmore, Baldwin, Massapequa, Levittown and Freeport. He also often visits the Hicksville Broadway Mall. And, as a skateboarder, he frequents the Bethpage Skatepark.

Geier is enrolled at Iris Wolfson High School in Greenvale.

Anyone with information on Geier’s whereabouts is asked to call the Suffolk Police Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or 911.
