PD: Man Seriously Injured In Huntington Station Crash

A 50-year-old West Babylon man was seriously injured after a crash in Huntington Station early this morning, Suffolk police said.
Police say Giovanni Saccente was driving a 1991 Mazda SUV southbound on New York Avenue around 2:20 a.m. when the vehicle struck a utility pole north of Schwab Road.
Police said the Huntington Community First Aid Squad transported the man to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He was later transferred to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
