Cops Investigate Shootings In Dix Hills, Huntington Station

Two men are in critical condition following separate shootings in the Town of Huntington, Suffolk police said.
In the first incident, police responded to a report at 9:17 p.m. Friday of a gunshot into a residence on Melrose Road in Dix Hills. The officers located a male with a single gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Huntington Hospital via Dix Hills Rescue.
Then, at 1:41 a.m. this morning, Second Precinct police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the vicinity of Lenox Road and E. 4th Street in Huntington Station. They located a male in the street who had multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to Huntington Hospital via the Huntington Community First Aid Squad.
Both men are in critical condition, and both investigations are continuing.
