Pancho Villa's Renovating To Create New Experience For Patrons
/OPEN PATIO: At Pancho Villa’s (311 New York Ave, Huntington, panchovillalongisland.com) a construction crew has been renovating the festive Mexican eatery since the start of last week. Between the clanging of hammers and the shuffling footsteps against the restaurant’s hardwood floors, owner Augie Abbatiello, observes the work being carried out around him. According to the restaurateur, customer demand for better front room seating prompted the Pancho Villa’s crew to brighten up the space and create what Abbatiello hopes will be a taste of “beautiful patio dining.” He admits that the family-owned restaurant, first established in Huntington in 1976, needed sprucing up and that there was no time like the present to dazzle the eatery’s patrons. Abbatiello described the renovations as “a facelift to accommodate all the people that have been coming here for the last 30 years that want some outdoor views of the town.” Construction of Pancho Villa’s patio area will be completed by the end of the month, according to Abbatiello.
