More than 30 restaurants around Huntington will offer discounted, three-course prix-fixe meals for $27.95 as part of Dine Huntington Restaurant Week later this month.

For eight days, from Sunday, Oct. 11, to Sunday, Oct. 18 (Saturday until 7 p.m. only), diners will have the opportunity to sample succulent selections at some of the most prestigious establishments on Long Island. Whether you’re interested trying Italian, Asian, American, or just about anything in between, Dine Huntington Restaurant Week participants offer options for anyone.

Dine Huntington Restaurant Week, sponsored by Long Islander News and the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce, showcases restaurants from throughout the dining capital of Long Island – Huntington.

In its eighth year, Dine Huntington Restaurant Week promotes and celebrates a vital sector of Huntington’s economy – restaurants – attracting diners from all over Long Island.

“Dine Huntington Restaurant Week has become an eagerly awaited annual event,” said James V. Kelly Jr., publisher of Long Islander News. “As Restaurant Week approaches, thousands of food lovers from all across Long Island watch for updates on the DineHuntington Facebook page and visit the website DineHuntington.com to browse the menus and decide which restaurants they’ll be visiting.”

The aim of Dine Huntington Restaurant Week is to give food lovers an opportunity to experience new restaurants and to give restaurant owners a chance to show off a little. Participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe meals for $27.95 per person plus tax and tip. It’s not just the restaurants that benefit, however. It provides an opportunity for the whole town to shine.

“The positive impact of Dine Huntington Restaurant Week goes beyond restaurants,” Chamber Chairman Bob Scheiner said. “It benefits other businesses as restaurant patrons stroll the downtown areas and visit nearby shops.

“The Chamber of Commerce hopes everyone will support our restaurants and support the local businesses as well. As you walk through the village or Huntington Station, enjoy the people and the sights, and support our local businesses.”

Patrons can line up their excursions by visiting DineHuntington.com, where participating restaurants are listed and their Dine Huntington Restaurant Week menus are posted.
