With Christmas around the corner, it’s time to start thinking of new beginnings by planning New Year’s resolutions and letting go of the past.
There’s no better way to say goodbye to 2015 and ring in the New Year than to celebrate at one of the finest restaurants in the Town of Huntington.
For the 2016 New Year, restaurants are offering special dinner menus, drinks and music for those all night dancers on Dec. 31. Here are a few of the offerings:
Harbor Club at Prime

For those who want to celebrate in style, Harbor Club at Prime is offering a chic black tie affair for its 2015 New Year’s Eve gala. The $200 all-inclusive menu includes a cocktail hour, three-course dinner, premium open bar, DJ and dancing. The entrée features a surf and turf filet mignon and shrimp dish, along with a vegetarian option. To reserve, visit the website.

Honu offers a New Year’s Eve dinner and party, with a pre-party surf and turf dinner special from 5-6:30 p.m., which includes a six-ounce filet mignon and six-ounce lobster tail for $29. In addition, Honu is offering a regular menu that includes appetizer, entrée and dessert specials. However, the celebration doesn’t end there. Following dinner is its New Year’s Eve party that includes a DJ, dancing and a free champagne toast at midnight. Late night festivities are offered to those over 25 years old. Enjoy a New Year’s Eve prix fixe menu at Jewel Restaurant, which includes a glass of sparkling cava. The three-course menu starts at $65 per person and features entrées like miso marinated Chilean sea bass, butter poached lobster and more. With the kitchen dinner open from 5-11 p.m., the restaurant will have a DJ and dancing, and hand out hats and noise makers to ring in the New Year. “We have the best food in town [and] the place is beautiful,” said Nelson Ramirez, one of the managers at Jewel. “There’s a lot of class to it and we try to be good every day as far as service is concerned.”
Jonathan’s Ristorante

Just like its Christmas Eve special, Jonathan’s Ristorante will also be offering an a la carte dinner menu to celebrate the new year. The menu features a lobster tail at $36, a 16-ounce rock of lamb for $39 and more. For dessert, chocolate covered strawberries at $10 pair superbly with champagne. Jonathon’s with be accepting reservations until 10:30 p.m. and can book parties up to 14 people, said Jefte Lopez, server at the restaurant. “It’s always a great time,” he said. “We always have fun with the customers here.”

Prime is also offering an exciting night for customers with an all-inclusive four-course menu starting at $150. Entrée items ia 12-ounce filet mignon, 16-ounce veal chop Parmesan, surf and turf with braised short rib and butter poached lobster, and more. Taking reservations after 9 p.m., the restaurant’s fete will include a DJ, dancing and a champagne toast at midnight. Its regular menu will be available from 4-8:30 p.m.
