Easter Sunday is right around the corner, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate around town next weekend.
Breakfast With The Bunny
Saturday, March 31, 9 a.m.-12 noon
At Vanderbilt Museum (180 Little Neck Road, Centerport)
The Easter Bunny and his friend Li’l Chick, are making an early stop at Vanderbilt Museum for a hot buffet breakfast, egg hunt and special planetarium show, “One World, One Sky,” starring Elmo and Big Bird. 63rd Annual Lions Club Egg Hunt
Saturday, March 31, 10-11:30 a.m.
At 75 Goose Hill Road, Cold Spring Harbor
The Cold Spring Harbor Lions Club’s 63rd annual egg hunt is for kids ages 12 and under. Along with the hunt there will be egg races and prizes to earn. Rain or shine. A donation of a non-perishable food item to the Huntington Food Council is requested. Email cshlions@gmail.com for more info.
Spring Egg Hunt

At Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery (1660 Route 25A, Cold Spring Harbor)

Easter Bunny Photo Shoot

At Einstein’s Attic (79 Main St., Northport)
Stop in to decorate an Easter egg, take a photo with the Easter bunny and meet live chicks at Einstein’s Attic. There will also be a fundraiser for Relay for Life ($5 per child).
Spring Into Easter Celebration

At Helping Hand Rescue Mission (225 Broadway, Huntington Station)

Sea Creature Egg-Laying Program

Did you know that many ocean animals lay eggs? The Whaling Museum will host a program on egg-laying creatures, and present a real scrimshawed Ostrich egg. There will also be an egg hunt through the museum, and a chance to decorate a Faberge-style egg. There will be two sessions: 1-2 p.m. for ages 2-4; then 3-4 p.m. for ages 5-7.
