Nearly a year after his daughter was found dead in Huntington Station, Cesar Rosales, speaking Wednesday at a vigil remembering Maggie Rosales and three others killed in Huntington Station over the last two years, urged the community to reach out to local officials to improve safety.

The Huntington Town Board approved several measures Sept. 16 that relate to improving the health, care and safety of pit bulls and pit bull mixes as Pit Bull Awareness Month is now being observed nationally.
