Men Wanted For Robbing CVS
Two men are wanted by police after allegedly robbing a CVS in Northport on Saturday evening.
According to Lieutenant William Ricca of the Northport Police Department, the first suspect walked into the CVS located at 753 Fort Salonga Road in Northport and asked a cashier to see the store manager.
The second suspect acted as a “lookout,” police said.
The first suspect handed the manager a note saying that he was armed with a gun and demanded money. The manager brought the suspect into an office and gave him $3,200 worth of cash and coins, police said.
“There was no attempt to get any kind of drugs or anything like that – just cash,” Ricca said.
Customers and employees who were in the CVS at the time of the robbery were apparently unaware of what was going on, according to police.
“No weapon was displayed, but in the surveillance video you can see that he [the suspect] constantly had his hand in his waistband [as if he did have a gun],” Ricca said.
After he was given the money, the first suspect told the manager to count to 100 before coming out of the office. The two suspects just walked away, according to police. They have not yet been found.
The robbery took place at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Police described the first suspect as a 25- to 30-year-old Hispanic male with light skin. He is estimated to be 5-feet, 3-inches tall, and is “heavy set.” He was wearing rectangular framed glasses during the robbery.
The second suspect is also a 25- to 30-year-old light skinned male, who may be white or Hispanic. Police said he is estimated to be 5-feet, 7-10 inches tall and is of “medium build.”
