Harborfields high schooler Katelyn Maher first saw her passion for graphic design emerge when she was a sophomore.

Now, as a senior, that passion has grown to incorporate designing t-shirts that are being sold at Bronx Zoo and Central Park Zoo through the New York Wildlife Conservation.

Though 16-year-old Noah Helburn is new to Huntington, he’s already on his way to help the community through his new initiative called “Tutoring For A Cause.”

Audiences can expect a vibrant and rocking show at The Paramount on Nov. 16, when Fitz and the Tantrums takes to the stage.

When Dix Hills resident Joshua DeJesus found out in August that he landed a principal role in an episode of NBC hit drama “Chicago Fire,” he was speechless.

When 7-year-old William Low had trouble seeing the blackboard, his teacher suggested he start wearing glasses.

He listened, scheduled an appointment with an eye doctor and, when he put the glasses on in the darkened office for the first time, he could clearly see the charts he once had trouble reading.

Low stepped out onto a Bronx sidewalk on a sunny day and, for the first time, he was able to see everything.
