It’s 11 p.m. Monday, and while most 12-year-olds are fast asleep, Brandon Niederauer of Dix Hills is just coming down from the natural high of performing on stage in front of hundreds of people on Broadway.

Some people slow down for a quick look. Others come to a complete stop, if only for a few moments, to take a closer look, and move on. Still others linger to observe the neatly arranged hand-drawn illustrations that line the brick wall outside Starbucks along Wall Street in Huntington.

A wide variety of tools can now be found on display at Huntington Town Hall, which is commemorating the 150th anniversary to the end of the Civil War.

Rockettes dancers Jennifer Clavin and Eleni Gavalas made stops at Variations, A Dancer’s Studio, in Huntington, and Northport Park in Northport on Wednesday as part of a promotional tour for the Rockette’s 2015 Christmas Spectacular season.

The local Gateway Community Garden sale, started in 2010, raises funds to support the garden of 127 beds tended to by adults, children and people with physical limitations. The nonprofit’s mission is to maintain a source of healthy, organic food for the town, while raising awareness for the environment and developing farming skills.
